1) The installed GamersGate version of Trine is DRM Free. However, GamersGate employs a download manager/online verification tool that downloads the installer on a temporary folder in encrypted form. You have to be online to install the game using the game's installer in order to decrypt the temporary files. To take a backup of Trine that doesn't require online connection, you can either backup the installer in the temporary folder in decrypted form when you are online and logged in to the GamersGate system, or you can copy the installed files and run them without the need to go online.
