Trine also requires that the Windows Media Format Feature Pack is installed - it comes by default with most Windows versions. However, users with Windows N (a version that does not include Windows Media Player bundled with the OS) need to download the Windows Media Pack from Microsoft's website (such as here).

1) The installed GamersGate version of Trine is DRM Free. However, GamersGate employs a download manager/online verification tool that downloads the installer on a temporary folder in encrypted form. You have to be online to install the game using the game's installer in order to decrypt the temporary files. To take a backup of Trine that doesn't require online connection, you can either backup the installer in the temporary folder in decrypted form when you are online and logged in to the GamersGate system, or you can copy the installed files and run them without the need to go online. NOTE: Please be advised that Trine does not run on Macs produced in 2006-2008 that use Intel graphics solutions. The game does run on all Macs from 2009 onwards. Macs with NVIDIA GeForce 9400M or ATI Radeon X1600 graphics may not achieve smooth gameplay.
